  • Eating Disorders: Severe caloric restriction and low body fat can disrupt the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, leading to amenorrhea and low estrogen.
  • Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI): When ovaries stop functioning before age 40.
